Wow. Double wow.
I have the same kind of fuzzy Big Daddy memories as you do -- so it's odd, in a way, how excited I always am to stumble upon Rat Fink & Co in the least expected places. Thanks for this important public service!
A few years ago I wandered into a little Western Auto place in Lincolnville, Maine (pop <2000), where the boss turns out to be a serious Rat Fink aficionado. I came out of there with a model kit, two big color decals, and a plastic likeness of the Fink suitable for placing conspicuously on one's desk. I can't say it changed my life, but it was an affirming experience, somehow.
