I've been looking for ? Mark & The Mysterians 96 Tears (can anyone help a brother out?) I have it i just can not find it, Have you ever noticed that records can be like socks they periodically go away on vacation you don't know when they've come back but you stumble across them while looking for your keys or somethin'. Another Man Done Gone

    Hasil Adkins passed away a couple of days ago, if you never heard his heart pumpin', foot thrashing killbilly sound search it out or This Blog Pioneer has a sound file up of Hasil's magic and Here is a interview with "The Wild Man of Rock & Roll." These good people  have put together an awesome tribute. Thanks for all the Gas-s-s-s Hasil, R.I.P

Tuesday Attitude

Saw the film PUNK Attitude last night and while if you haven't guessed it yet i don't jump up and down with starry eyed nostalgia and pine for "the good old days" even if most of the stuff i post is considered "retro or old" I'm brutally honest or open about the cultural history I was fortunate enough to have a good seat for or even be a part of but i gotta tell you I'm Jumping NOW!
    This movie MOTIVATES,  The Director using interviews, concert and street footage from an dazzling array of archives and sources beautifully tells gives the knowledge for the young to know and the old to remember of how YOU, ME anyone can get things done be it Starting a band or Djing or Starting a Tee-Shirt Company, Record Label or whatever and did this so genuinely with pure heart it propelled me  to that exact mindset of "Yea Let's Do It" I've not felt in quite a while.
    FYI I've started Tee-Shirt Companies on a prayer and a few ideas and did the record label thing I've always been DIY person...I've more to say but not now just if ya can Go see this film it will Probably be out in theaters or DVD soon enough  i believe it's also playing L.A next week.
    He might not have been a punk but the man had attitude to spare Django Reinhart could play some guitar and here's the video's to prove it---Amazing CWCD
    Next up is well i don't quite know what it is to be honest it's a really well done site for a cat named Max Raabe und das Palast Orchester click around something will strike your fancy (or Not) CWCD
    Speaking of DIY: this is (Hopefully) as The Peach Boy's Sang Something Special Primal Scream only one of our most fav-o-rite bands is at it again either that or someones havin' at them again check here for the details they're going to send you here for the Torrent if you don't have software to download a torrent then go here first just so you know it took me about 15 min. to do the whole thing and i didn't have the software nor have i ever used a torrent before it's straight forward, easy and fun! somewhere I've got a transcript of my interview with Bobby G from 97 if i find it I'll pop it up here.

Sidewalk Surfers

    Sidewalk Surfing is about all I've ever done and this twangish sax driven LP probably wouldn't have cut it as a soundtrack for those late night skips up or down 5Th ave back in me youth, but it makes for fantastic squeasy listening in the now.
    I have a theory about these Lp's and there are hundreds if not thousands of them on labels like Crown, Diplomat, Sutton as well as the "Big Guns" like Del-Fi and Liberty, reprise etc...anyway my theory is much like the Indian Restaurants on 6Th Street story we heard as kids all the food was prepared in the same huge underground kitchen, all these records are made by the same band or bands of musicians who would churn them out weekly if not daily for a flat fee never to think about it again. Some might have gone on to Rock & Roll glory others back to running their dad's hardware store or some other "reg gig" so when listening to these crusty luscious biscuits of the now sound you could be hearing  Davie Allen, Dick Dale, or the guy you pick up your dry cleaning from ya never can tell...I've run long in the tooth long enough so without further here is The Good Guys Sidewalk Surfing.

That's what we used to call other kids who would do what we did when we where kids, We're all grown up now (ha ha) and on this ere' Internet they laud them by giving them the honorific of being Pirates "yar s'not good" but it makes for some damn interesting viewing in these days of downloadable templates are these intentional or accidental copies? and can you copyright a website design?
