Seven in Seven Day 6

    Closing in on the last day of this adventure and it really was just that an adventure, so you all know i didn't have but 2 of these beauties picked out and ready before hand so I've done them all on the day of and picked the title on the fly which made for some good choices (i think) as well as some just at the brink postings... nothing like a bit of nervous energy to get the blood flowing
   Today a rare treat it's another one of my favorites why would i share records or music i dislike hmm that gives me an idea but maybe in the fall we'll do 7 in 7 of the least enjoyable Lp's from the archive.
    The Comic Book Hero's is a great Jazz piece I've always thought this was the one with the Great Sun Ra on it and some of these grooves are reminiscent of his early "Straight Jazz" stuff but consensus tell us that it's the Batman & Robin by Dan & Dale that have Sun Ra and Al Kooper on it which i was gonna share originally and have it ready to go but at the last minute found out you can buy it so it sort of eliminated it's self from the criteria i use in in choosing Lp's form the archive         Anyway even without Sun Ra's mastery this Lp is a thoroughly enjoyable listen especially on a rainy night the dialog makes it interesting and the grooves gives it that swing baby so jump on in and Dig!

    I've got lots and lots to say about today's selection but once again time is short how short so short  i can't even think of anything snarky so here ya go this is my absolute favorite Films and Soundtracks for many reasons which will reveal themselves as you listen to it I'm sure if not I'll  fill ya in on in a couple of days when this is all a memory. The music is by this amazing composer

    Fixed Tracks 7 from today and put up track 14 from yesterday it was that symbol making trouble Big Thanks to Stephanie for pointing it out

    I said i wouldn't put these files up again, but i've had a revelation it actually has nothing to do with sharing old rekerds but i'll repost a few of these again soon and leave em' up for a day or two and maybe they'll reapear as regular shares this fall who knows i'm not trying to power trip here just have some fun turning people on to good tunes so there. Hope you all dug yesterdays Blues Lp it's one of my Favorite Lp's and hope it becomes one of yours.
    Now on today if you have this you know how awesome it is unfortunately i don't have time again [work, study and Guests some which i didn't count on when i opened me big yap with this whole 7in7 thing]
Ultimate Spinach if not for a good bro i'd passed this by just cause it looked corny but it's a decent bit of Psychedelic Rock.Dig on it also these cats are always doing sumthin' cool this week they're serving up 7 days of Mr. Phil Ochs they never disapoint and have hit it outta the park once again

Today's Biscut hails from The Amazing & Magnificent Spivey Label which used to be Located here
Got turned on to Spivey Records and Miss Victoria Spivey at Finyl Vinyl way back the records were a little hard to get even then  one day i got a call from a friend who said "you know those blues records you like well they're having a close out at tower" so i ran over there and bought as many as I could carry this is one of em'  Here's a excellent site to learn more about Victoria and Spivey Records
Tracks 3 & 10 have a young folk singer named Bob Dylan on em' people tell me he's good so Hope you Enjoy this...
     There was a problem with track 14 i couldn't fix it sorry i will repost track 14 soon but not today

Seven in Seven Day 2

    This is the first time I'm implementing a timed post hopefully at 12am est Tuesday Morning you'll be able to dig this delicious treat.
    First off I gotta give up's to Our Favorite Martian because he's a Bro who has helped me get this blog thing going in the first place and our next Offering has the same name as his site.
    OK Now About St. John Green: 1st in the oops Dept: sorry about not including the album and artist info on yesterdays songs. Now If you goggled St. John Green you know as much or more than i do.
    I picked up that record in 93 it was a cheap, under 5 bucks (I know, i know  records aren't cool unless you buy them for a nickel but i got tired of listening to records even my grandparents found boring, forgive me for breaking the dollar barrier)    
    Anyway back to St. John Green they were gonna be "it" but it all turned to .... as you now know the Lp has merit the only thing i could find out about them easily was this Lp was produced by none other than This Fine Gent who has brought us much R.O.C.K over the decades though he dosen't mention this jewel in his on-line resume he did a bang up job as M.C at Little Stevens Garage fest last Summer and i thought he came off as the Duke of Krazy Kool in This Documentary, so that's it for St. John Green unless I spot their Legendary Second Lp.....
    Now on with the show many of you might have Today's offering if you do sorry tomorrow's very few people even know about so stayt tuned anyway Today's jewel has it all Bit of Rock some Jazz some easy mellow type stuff and most important of all the Dudley Moore Rave up "Bedazzled" one of the all time great heel songs of all time check it for yourself and see! also the film is a must see....

There is much to be said about St John Green a glittering nugget of Psychedelic Rock Gold if ever there was one [or is it Mica] either way i'm crunched for time and will fill ya in on the particulars tomorrow now sit back and dig this 40 minites in L.A circa 1967
